Hope you're having a great Summer so far! My name is Nicholas Craven the owner of Midnight Owl Skate shop. I have 22 years combined experience skateboarding. There was a little bit of time where I had to stop skating due to some health issues. It ignited the fire and love for skateboarding even more for me.

Years later I became a father, and I know how important it is to teach the youth the right way how to skate. The younger we get them into this sport the more equipped they will be to keep at it and be at a different skill level given the right foundation. I was 8 years old when I started. It was much different back then. I learned by hitting the streets with my best friends and skating with my friends at a higher skill level excelled me forward. Skate camp was very helpful when I was in my early teens. 

These days skateboarding is now an Olympic sport and locally speaking we have an amazing concrete park right outside of downtown Charleston and plans to rebuild the current Summerville Skatepark. Let's get you ready for this new Summerville Skatepark.
